On a flat plot in Latsia residential area, the demands were to achieve a free space yard of a maximum area as well as a big residential program of a minimum construction budget. 

 

The main house is formed into a cubical two store volume with common spaces on ground floor level and bedrooms on the first floor.  All main spaces are oriented towards the great activity yard in the north.

 

Cost efficiency and environmental parameters according to shading systems and

glazed surfaces for maximum livability concerning energy, natural light and ventilation formed the basics of the design.

 

The aesthetic result is a simple shaped building of white surfaces with light elements like metal shading systems that form a second elevation towards the south.
